Catching Fire

Catching Fire is the 2nd book of The Hunger Games Trilogy. The story focuses on the Third Quarter Quell meaning another game of outwitting, outsmarting and killing but unlike the Hunger games mentioned in book 1, the quarter quell is composed of all the victors of each hunger games. The Quarter Quell takes place every 25 years and the previous one which was held 25 years ago, the winner is no other than Haymitch, Katniss & Peeta's mentor. Another difference is that 2 victors will be representing for each district, a boy and a girl, but only one will come out victor. Catching fire also focuses on the alliance of Katniss and Peeta(District12) with Finnick Odair(District4), Johanna Mason(District7), the morphlings(District6), Wiress & Beetee (District3)also known as Nuts & Volts. They all play a role that will keep this book much anticipated. How each of them are willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, which means to bring down the Capitol with the help of the "Mockingjay" or "The Girl on Fire". Yes, it is Katniss, the symbol of freedom that soon will be shared to everyone who's willing to stand up to defy the Capitol. The arena on this book is also different since there's a new Head Gamemaker, but you'll be surprised on how this guy adds a twist on the Quarter Quell. There's so much to say but for a start I suggest you read this book because it's worth your time and money. The release of the 3rd book is on August 2010 with the title "The Mockingjay".
